Take a spearfishing charter out to the Mokohinau Islands and experience large schools of pelagic fish, 25 kilo plus Kingfish, Abundant Crayfish and 25 metres plus visibility. ... more

The "Mokes" a small group of rugged islands lie about 100 km northeast of Auckland and 25 km northwest of Great Barrier Island. The remoteness of these islands means less pressure from the mainland resulting in an explosion of marine life to see with up to 40 meters visibility underwater! A diverse range of underwater and above water terrain means there’s something for everyone, no matter your spearfishing experience level.

The Mokohinau Islands (called Pokohinu by Maori) are a taonga (treasure) with many special places and are pest free. Visiting these islands is like travelling back in time – truly stunning and a wide range of native birdlife on the islands make for some great atmosphere when anchored up in the bays. You can learn heaps more about these islands by coming out on a spearfishing charter with us!

I have been on three charters with Blair, and will definitely be going on more!He put me onto my first of a bunch of species including Kingfish, Snapper, Trevally, Boarfish and more! The trips to Great Barrier Island I have seen massive schools of kingfish, kahawai and Trevally with visibility up to 20 meters! No matter the conditions he had a spot to go dive and see awesome territory and fish life.  ... more On top of all that Blair has a great laid back attitude and I have felt safe with him as the skipper.

Had an awesome time out with ocean diversity this past Sunday. A good knowledgeable skipper put us in all the right spots to find crays paua and the fish. Highly recommend for all levels of experience but especially those new to the sport as they give you as much help and support as possible. Great charter service!

We have had a couple of really good trips out with Blair. Decisions on on dive spots are well thought out depending on conditions and you always get lots of time in the water at multiple spots. Also lots of flexibility depending on what exactly you want to target or depth. Highly recommend to anyone wanting an easy day out but would particularly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about selecting ... more spots and targets. To any beginners out there think of this as an investment to fast track your skills and knowledge.

Oceandiversity Charters is easily the best Spearfishing charter I have ever been on.All my best fish have been taken from this boat. From the sheer range of "extreme" destinations available in the day range, to the comfort of travelling long distances in this vessel is an excellent experience all round.Blair is one of the best charter skippers in the business and it's always a fantastic day out.Excellent ... more value well spent.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Ocean diversity is a fantastic spearfishing charter! I really enjoyed the couple of times Blair took us out, he is an awesome guide and really knows his stuff. Blair took us to some great spots, and knew when the fish was "on"! We came home with a great haul and even scored a crayfish on our first trip out! Would highly recommend this charter with the pleasure of having a friendly, knowledgeable skipper.
